About the Author
Rebecca Solnit is an American writer, historian, and activist, the author of more than twenty books on feminism, western and urban history, popular power, ecology, and art. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, she was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and received her MA in journalism from UC Berkeley.
