僕って何 (Bokutte Nani)

Masahiro Mita (三田誠広) is a Japanese novelist born on June 18, 1948, in Osaka Prefecture, who debuted at age 17 with "M no Sekai" and gained prominence by winning the prestigious Akutagawa Prize in 1977 for "Boku tte Nani" (What Am I?), a satirical take on the student movement. His notable works include the youth novel "Ichigo Dōmei" (Strawberry Alliance), historical fiction like "Yume Shōgun Yoritomo," religious novels such as "Kūkai" and "Nichiren," and adaptations of Dostoevsky's works; he has also served as a professor at Waseda and Musashino Universities, advocated for copyright issues, and received awards like the 2022 Kaga Otohiko Special Literary Prize.
