Philomène Marie Charlotte Gaudérique Félicité Ghislaine de Lévis-Mirepoix, better known by her pen name Claude Silve (1887–1978), was a French writer from a noble family and sister of historian Antoine de Lévis-Mirepoix. She married Count Joseph François Marie Jules de la Forest Divonne in 1927 and achieved literary success, winning the Prix Maillé-Latour-Landry from the Académie Française in 1912 for her debut novel La Cité des lampes and the Prix Femina in 1935 for Bénédiction. Her other notable works include La Fièvre bleue (1929), Le Palertin (1936), Arpèges (1937), Un jardin vers l'Est (1938), and Lumière cendrée (1941). Read more →
