Allison GlockAmerican
Allison Glock is an American writer born in West Virginia, who graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 1989 and Syracuse University with an MA in 1992. She is best known for her memoir Beauty Before Comfort, a Whiting Award winner and New York Times Notable Book about her grandmother's life. Her journalism has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Esquire, and others; she is also a senior staff writer at ESPN and co-author of the YA novel series Changers.
