厚物咲 (Atsumonozaki)

Gishū Nakayama (中山義秀, 1900–1969) was a Japanese writer of the Shōwa period renowned for his short stories and historical novels depicting figures in lost causes. He won the Akutagawa Prize in 1938 for Atsumonozaki, the Noma Literary Prize in 1964 for Shōan (or Sakuan), and the Japan Art Academy Prize in 1966 (or 1967). Notable works include Denko, Ishibumi, Teniyan no matsujitsu, and Shōan.
