Asile de fous

Régis Jauffret is a French novelist born in 1955 in Marseille, known for his works exploring themes of madness, cruelty, suffering, humiliation, domination, and repressed desires, often through monologues and inspired by real-life crimes. He debuted with his first novel in 1985 and has published over 25 books, including the prize-winning Asiles de fous (Prix Femina 2005), Univers, univers (Prix Décembre 2003), and Microfictions 2018 (Prix Goncourt de la nouvelle 2018).
