About the Author

Tetsushi Suwa (born 1969) is a Japanese novelist, critic, and essayist from Nagoya, Aichi, who graduated from Kokugakuin University's philosophy department. His debut novel Asatte no Hito (2007) won both the Akutagawa Prize and Gunzo New Writers Prize, marking the first such double since 1976. He worked at Nagoya Railroad before secluding himself to write and later became an academic staff member at universities like Aichi Shukutoku.諏訪哲史
