Jon Meacham (born May 20, 1969) is an American historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author specializing in presidential biographies, most notably American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House (2008), which earned him the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for Biography or Autobiography, along with other acclaimed works such as Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power (2012), Destiny and Power (2015) on George H.W. Bush, and And There Was Light (2022) on Abraham Lincoln.
