Am I Blue? Coming Out from the Silence

Marion Dane Bauer (born November 20, 1938) is an American children's author renowned for over 100 books spanning picture books, middle-grade novels, and young adult fiction. Her most notable works include On My Honor, a Newbery Honor winner in 1987, Rain of Fire, which received the Jane Addams Children's Book Award in 1984, and the anthology Am I Blue?, honored with Lambda Literary and Stonewall Book Awards. She continues to write and reside in Minnesota, with recent publications as late as 2024.
