Sarah Thankam Mathews is an Indian-American writer born in India and raised partly in Oman and the United States. She studied at Grinnell College. All This Could Be Different (2022) was her debut novel and was a finalist for the National Book Award for Fiction and the PEN/Faulkner Award, as well as a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award.
