Allen Stuart Drury (1918-1998) was an American novelist best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning political novel Advise and Consent (1959), which spent 102 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and was adapted into a Broadway play and film. Drawing from his experience as a Senate reporter during World War II, he authored numerous sequels and other works in political, historical, and science fiction genres. His major achievement includes the 1960 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
