David GilmourCanadian
David Gilmour (born 1949) is a Canadian novelist and former television journalist who won the Governor General's Literary Award for English-language fiction for his novel A Perfect Night to Go to China (2005). His other notable works include the novels Sparrow Nights (2001), Extraordinary (2013, longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize), and the memoir The Film Club (2007).
