Robert William JulyAmerican
Robert W. July (born 1918) was an American historian and professor emeritus of history at Hunter College and the Graduate School of the City University of New York, with a PhD from Columbia University. He previously taught at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and Kenyatta University in Kenya, and served as a Rockefeller Foundation Assistant Director for the Humanities, scouting talent in Africa during the 1950s and 1960s.
