About ZZ Packer
Zuwena "ZZ" Packer (born January 12, 1973) is an American writer of short fiction and nonfiction, and a teacher. Vanderbilt University bio. Born in Chicago and raised in Atlanta and Louisville, she is best known for her debut collection Drinking Coffee Elsewhere (2003), which was a PEN/Faulkner finalist and selected for the Today Show Book Club, and has received awards including a Whiting Award, Guggenheim Fellowship, and National Book Award "5 under 35."ZZ Packer Drinking Coffee Elsewhere.
