About William Brodrick
William Brodrick (born 31 January 1960) is a British novelist who was formerly an Augustinian friar and barrister. His debut novel, The Sixth Lamentation (1999), was selected for the Richard and Judy Book Club, launching the Father Anselm crime series, for which he won the Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger in 2009 for A Whispered Name. After the success of his writing, he left legal practice to become a full-time author in Normandy, France, also publishing legal thrillers as John Fairfax.
