About Vonda N. McIntyre

Vonda N. McIntyre (1948-2019) was an American science fiction author and biologist born in Louisville, Kentucky. She earned a biology degree from the University of Washington, founded the Clarion West Writers Workshop, and won multiple Nebula and Hugo Awards for works like the novelette "Of Mist, and Grass, and Sand" (1973) and novels Dreamsnake (1979) and The Moon and the Sun (1997), along with Star Trek novelizations.
