About Victor Rodriguez Nunez
Víctor Rodríguez Núñez, born in Havana, Cuba in 1955, is one of Cuba's most celebrated contemporary poets, with over twenty books of poetry published and translated into multiple languages. He has won numerous awards including the David Prize (1980), Plural Prize (1983), Renacimiento Prize (2000), and Loewe International Poetry Prize (2015), and has read at literary events in over 40 countries. A professor of Spanish at Kenyon College since 2001, he is also a journalist, essayist, critic, editor, and translator who divides his time between Ohio and Havana.
