Vicente Aleixandre

Vicente Aleixandre (1898-1984) was a Spanish poet associated with the Generation of '27, known for his early surrealistic free verse exploring nature, love, and human connection to the cosmos in works like Destruction or Love (1933) and Shadow of Paradise (1944). He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1977 for his innovative poetry that renewed Spanish traditions between the wars.
