Tyree Daye

Tyree Daye is an American poet raised in Youngsville, North Carolina. He is the author of poetry collections including River Hymns (2017), the winner of the APR/Honickman First Book Prize, Cardinal (Copper Canyon Press, 2020), and a little bump in the earth (Copper Canyon Press, 2024). Daye has received a Whiting Writers' Award, a Cave Canem fellowship, and other honors, and teaches at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
