About Tricia Romano
Tricia Romano is an American journalist and author who began her career with an eight-year stint at the Village Voice, starting as an intern and writing award-winning features on culture, music, and New York nightlife via her column Fly Life. She later served as a staff writer at the Seattle Times and editor-in-chief of The Stranger, Seattle's alternative weekly, and her work has appeared in outlets including the New York Times, Rolling Stone, and the Daily Beast. Her debut book, The Freaks Came Out to Write (2024), is an oral history of the Village Voice. She is a fellow at artist residencies including MacDowell and lives in Seattle, Washington.
