Tom Lin

Tom Wentao Lin is an American novelist born circa 1996 in Beijing, China, who immigrated to Flushing, Queens, New York City at age four. A graduate of Pomona College, he is pursuing a PhD in English at the University of California, Davis. His debut novel, The Thousand Crimes of Ming Tsu (2021), a Western featuring a Chinese American outlaw seeking vengeance, won the 2022 Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, making him the youngest recipient.
