About Tom Flood

Tom Flood (born 1955) is an Australian novelist, playwright, and short story writer best known for his debut novel Oceana Fine (1989), which won the Australian/Vogel Literary Award (1988), Miles Franklin Award (1990), and Victorian Premier's Literary Award (1990). SF. Born in Sydney and raised in Western Australia, he worked various jobs including tuna fisherman and rock musician before his literary success. He has published short stories in Australian and international journals and won the Banjo Paterson Award for \"The Old Trails\" (2001).
