Tim Jeal

John Julian Timothy Jeal (born 1945) is a British biographer and novelist best known for his revisionist biographies of Victorian explorers including Livingstone (1973), Baden-Powell (1989), Stanley (2007), and Explorers of the Nile (2011), many of which have been New York Times Notable Books, won awards like the National Book Critics Circle Award, and inspired documentaries.
