About Thylias Moss
Thylias Moss (born February 27, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American poet, writer, experimental filmmaker, sound artist, and playwright of African-American, Native American, and European heritage. She is renowned for her innovative poetry exploring identity, race, and everyday life, and pioneered Limited Fork Theory. A professor emerita at the University of Michigan, she has received major awards including a MacArthur Fellowship (1996) and Guggenheim Fellowship (1995).
