Ted Conover (born 1958) is an American author and journalist renowned for his immersive narrative nonfiction. A summa cum laude anthropology graduate from Amherst College and former Marshall Scholar at Cambridge University, he has taught journalism at New York University as professor emeritus and past director of the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.
