Taylor Johnson

Taylor Johnson is an American poet originally from Washington, DC. They are the author of Inheritance (Alice James Books, 2020), winner of the 2021 Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America and named one of the best poetry books of 2020 by the New York Times.Alice James Books, Poets.org, Poetry Foundation Johnson has received fellowships from Cave Canem and residencies including Guggenheim Poet-in-Residence, and awards such as the Whiting Award for Poetry (2024) and Larry Neal Writers’ Award (2017).
