About Tasha Suri

Tasha Suri is a British author of epic fantasy known for her Burning Kingdoms trilogy and the Realm of Ash duology. She won the World Fantasy Award for Best Novel for The Jasmine Throne (2022), the first book in the Burning Kingdoms trilogy, which draws on Mughal India for its world-building and features a lesbian romance at its center. Suri works as a librarian in London. She was named a finalist for the British Fantasy Award for Best Newcomer for Empire of Sand (2018), her debut novel. The Jasmine Throne was praised for its lush world-building, emotional resonance, and its centering of a queer romance in an epic fantasy framework. Her Burning Kingdoms trilogy continued with The Oleander Sword and The Lotus Empire. Suri continues to live and work in London.
