Tanya Landman

Tanya Landman is a British author of fiction for children and young adults. Her Carnegie Medal-winning Buffalo Soldier (2015) tells the story of a formerly enslaved Black woman who disguises herself as a man to join the post-Civil War U.S. Army. She is known for writing historically grounded adventures with strong social justice themes.
