Takayuki Kiyooka

Takayuki Kiyooka (1922-2006) was a Japanese poet and novelist born in Dalian, China, during Japan's leased territory period, where he spent his youth and drew inspiration for many of his stories. He is best known for his work Dalian of Acacia Flowers (1969), which won the prestigious Akutagawa Prize, highlighting his career as a significant figure in modern Japanese literature. His writings often reflected his experiences in Dalian and included poetry collections and novels.
