About Suzanne Berne

Suzanne Berne (born 1961) is an American novelist whose debut novel A Crime in the Neighborhood (1997) won the 1999 Orange Prize for Fiction. She studied at Wesleyan University and the Iowa Writers' Workshop, received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, and has taught creative writing at Harvard University, Wellesley College, and Boston College, where she is an associate professor of English. Her other notable works include The Ghost at the Table, A Perfect Arrangement, The Dogs of Littlefield, and The Blue Window (2023). Suzanne Berne official site
