Susan Marie Swanson

Susan Marie Swanson is an American children's poet and author. She wrote *The House in the Night*, illustrated by Beth Krommes, which won the 2009 Caldecott Medal. The lyrical bedtime book uses a cumulative structure reminiscent of a lullaby.
