About Stuart Dybek
Stuart Dybek (born 1942) is an American writer of fiction and poetry, raised in Chicago's Little Village and Pilsen neighborhoods as a second-generation Polish American. He earned an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and taught for over 30 years at Western Michigan University before becoming Distinguished Writer in Residence at Northwestern University, receiving major awards including a MacArthur Fellowship, PEN/Malamud Award, and multiple O.
