About Steve Sheinkin
Steve Sheinkin (born 1968) is an American author of suspenseful nonfiction history books primarily for young adults. A former history textbook writer, he transitioned to full-time writing engaging historical narratives in 2008, with notable works including Bomb: The Race to Build—and Steal—the World's Most Dangerous Weapon (Newbery Honor and Sibert Medal winner), The Port Chicago 50, Fallout, Undefeated, and Impossible Escape. His books have earned three National Book Award finalist honors, three Boston Globe-Horn Book Awards, and the 2020 Margaret A. Edwards Award.
