About Stacey Halls

Stacey Nicole Halls (born August 1989) is an English author who grew up in Rossendale, Lancashire, as the daughter of market traders. She studied journalism at the University of Central Lancashire, worked in publishing and magazines including The Bookseller and Fabulous, and transitioned to full-time writing after her debut novel The Familiars (2019), a Sunday Times bestseller inspired by the Pendle witch trials that won a Betty Trask Award. Her subsequent bestsellers include The Foundling (2020), Mrs England (2021), and The Household (2024), and she won the 2022 Women's Prize x Good Housekeeping Futures Award. StaceyHalls.com
