St John Greer Ervine

St. John Greer Ervine (1883-1971) was an Irish playwright, novelist, critic, and biographer born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He contributed to the Irish Literary Renaissance with notable plays like Mixed Marriage, Jane Clegg, and John Ferguson, managed the Abbey Theatre, and later wrote successful comedies such as The First Mrs. Fraser and biographies including one on George Bernard Shaw.
