Sidik Fofana

Sidik Fofana is an American writer and public school teacher in Brooklyn, New York. A graduate of NYU's MFA program, Columbia College (BA 2005), and City College (MA 2013), he has taught English Language Arts and Special Education since 2007. website. His debut work, the short story collection Stories from the Tenants Downstairs (2022), earned him a 2023 Whiting Award and a Gotham Book Prize finalist nomination.
