Sheri Fink is an American journalist and physician born in Detroit, who earned a B.S. from the University of Michigan in 1990, followed by a Ph.D. in neuroscience and M.D. from Stanford University in 1998 and 1999. Notable for her work as a relief worker in conflict zones and investigative reporter, she authored books including War Hospital (2003) and the bestselling Five Days at Memorial (2013), the latter expanding on her Pulitzer-winning article about decisions at a New Orleans hospital during Hurricane Katrina. Her career highlights include two Pulitzer Prizes (2010 for investigative reporting, 2015 for international reporting on Ebola), National Book Critics Circle Award, and roles at ProPublica and The New York Times.com, SheriFink.net
