Shefali Luthra is an American health policy journalist who graduated from Brown University with an A.B. in English Literature in 2014. She began her career with internships at the Texas Tribune in 2012 and 2013, followed by six years as a correspondent at Kaiser Health News from 2014 to 2020, and currently serves as reproductive health reporter at The 19th News since 2020, where her award-winning coverage of abortion rights post-Roe v. Wade overturn has been cited in congressional testimony and Supreme Court briefings.
