Shawn Stewart Ruff (born 1959) is an American novelist and editor from Cincinnati, Ohio, who studied English literature at the University of Cincinnati and now resides in New York City. His notable works include the award-winning debut novel Finlater (2008), which earned the Lambda Literary Award for Gay Debut Fiction, as well as Toss the Way Your Blood Beats (2010), One/10th (2013), GJS II (2016), and Days Running (2025); he also edited the anthology Go the Way Your Blood Beats (1996). Additionally, he has worked as a copywriter for brands like Chanel, Estée Lauder, and Bergdorf Goodman.
