Sharyn McCrumb

Sharyn McCrumb (born February 26, 1948) is an American author best known for her Appalachian "Ballad" novels that celebrate the history and folklore of Appalachia, including New York Times bestsellers like The Ballad of Frankie Silver, She Walks These Hills, and The Rosewood Casket. She has also written the Elizabeth MacPherson mystery series, Jay Omega satirical novels, and NASCAR-themed works such as St. Dale.
