Shari Green is a Canadian author born in Vancouver, BC, in 1963, best known for her award-winning novels in verse for middle-grade and young adult readers, such as Macy McMillan and the Rainbow Goddess, which won the ALA Schneider Family Book Award, and Song of Freedom, Song of Dreams, which received the Geoffrey Bilson Award and a Governor General's Literary Award nomination.
