About Sarah Stewart Johnson

Sarah Stewart Johnson is an American planetary scientist born around 1979 in Kentucky. She earned a PhD from MIT in 2008, served as a Rhodes Scholar, White House Fellow, and contributed to NASA's Spirit, Opportunity, and Curiosity Mars rover missions, while authoring the acclaimed nonfiction book The Sirens of Mars. She is currently a professor at Georgetown University researching biosignatures for life on Mars and other worlds.
