Sarah Gailey

Sarah Gailey is an American author of horror and science fiction known for their novels Magic for Liars, The Echo Wife, and Just Like Home. The Echo Wife was a Locus Award finalist, and Just Like Home won the British Fantasy Award for Best Horror Novel in 2023. Gailey is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. Their work frequently centers questions of identity, self-deception, and the violence of family structures. Just Like Home, about a woman returning to her childhood home—the site of her father's murders—was praised for its psychological precision and gothic atmosphere.
