Sam Quinones

Sam Quinones is an American journalist and author born in 1958, raised in Claremont, California, who graduated from Claremont High School in 1977 and earned B. com. His 38-year career includes reporting for the Los Angeles Times (2004-2014), freelancing in Mexico for a decade, and authoring acclaimed narrative nonfiction books on Mexican migration and the U.S. opioid crisis, notably Dreamland (2015, National Book Critics Circle Award winner) and The Least of Us (2021).Sam Quinones official site.
