Russell Hoban and Quentin Blake

Russell Conwell Hoban (1925–2011) was an American writer born in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, to Jewish immigrants from Ukraine. Known for children's books like the Frances the Badger series and adult novels such as Riddley Walker (1980) and Turtle Diary (1975), his works span fantasy, science fiction, magical realism, poetry, and more.
