About Roo Borson

Ruth Elizabeth Borson, who writes as Roo Borson, is a Canadian poet born in 1952 in Berkeley, California. She earned an MFA from the University of British Columbia and has lived in Toronto, where she collaborates with poet Kim Maltman in the ensemble Pain Not Bread. Notable works include Short Journey Upriver Toward Oishida (2004), winner of the Governor General's Award, Griffin Poetry Prize, and Pat Lowther Award.
