Oluwasegun Romeo Oriogun is a Nigerian poet and essayist born in Lagos, known for his works exploring queer identity, displacement, and African experiences. Notable collections include Sacrament of Bodies (2020), Nomad (2021, winner of the Nigeria Prize for Literature), and The Gathering of Bastards (2023). An alumnus of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop (MFA 2021), he has received awards like the Brunel International African Poetry Prize (2017) and serves as an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Florida Atlantic University.
