Roger Ikor

Roger Ikor (1912-1986) was a French novelist and essayist of Jewish origin, born in Paris, who won the prestigious Prix Goncourt in 1955 for his novel Les Eaux mêlées, part of the diptych Les Fils d'Avrom depicting Jewish immigrant life in France. A literature professor at lycées such as Condorcet and Pasteur, he was a POW during WWII and later founded the Centre contre les manipulations mentales after his son's suicide linked to a sect.
