Robert V. Remini

Robert V. Remini (1921–2013) was an American historian and professor emeritus at the University of Illinois at Chicago, renowned for his three-volume biography of Andrew Jackson, with the final volume winning the 1984 National Book Award for Nonfiction. He also authored biographies of Henry Clay, John Quincy Adams, Daniel Webster, and others, and served as Historian of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2005 to 2010. His works focused on the Jacksonian era and early American democracy, praised for meticulous research.
