About Robert Lewis Taylor
Robert Lewis Taylor (1912–1998) was an American author born in Carbondale, Illinois, who graduated from the University of Illinois in 1933 and began his career as a journalist before writing for The New Yorker, including biographical sketches. U.S. Navy during World War II and achieved fame with his historical novels, most notably The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters (1958), which won the 1959 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and was adapted into a TV series.EBSCO Research Starters Taylor also penned biographies like W.C.
